With a diverse mix of
rock, pop and bluesy funk, The Nick Zuber Band is set to release the follow up to their popular Acoustic EP with their new
disc, The Garden of Constant Rain. After the 2006 release of Reassurance and Write-Hear, 23 year old singer-songwriter Nick
Zuber and bassist Jonathan 'Jono' Yowell, 26, added a new drummer, 25 year old Angela 'AC' Cutrone. In a short period of time
the trio has evolved to showcase a classic, yet experimental sound that has been lighting up the North East Ohio music scene.
Counting a vast range of influences like Dave Matthews, Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash,
The new disc can be described
as diverse and upbeat. A mash-up of bluesy torch bearers, funk influenced dance songs, acoustic pop and guitar-heavy rock
anthems, The Garden of Constant rain speaks to the band’s experiences and ponderings on love and life. The band is excited
about this work as they feel it is a reflection of their artistic influences and personalities. “I really dig “The
Difficulty in Breath,” says AC. “The lyrics are very honest and it’s a song that people can relate to on
a personal level. I think its one of the main songs that showcases who Nick Zuber really is.” Nick and the band are
happiest making and playing music, “when the song sounds like it feels. Or when it such a universal sound that no matter
who you are or what you like, you can still find something in that song to relate with. Whether it makes you tap your toes
or smile or even cry, as long as its moving you in some way.” says Nick.
The band has just signed a management
deal with the good folks at www.DiscoverStars.com who also run a free online community to help connect local musicians
with promoters and each other. They have begun playing at local high schools to promote the benefits of the art programs and
the importance of setting goals and following dreams. This spring they are embarking on a short tour to promote the Garden of Constant
Rain then plan to come back for a busy summer playing concerts and festivals. The fresh sound
and genuine qualities of The Nick Zuber Band screams out 'next big thing' to most everyone who encounters them.
